It's hump day and we need to celebrate it after work. Follow me for a very fun Korean spot! Highlights of the menu: 1. Crab & seafood creamy pasta 2. Multi seafood tomato stew - the crispy rice on the top is super good! 3. Seafood Korean pancake 4. Crunchy snacks with salsa Premium and some exclusive sojus imported from Korea are found here. It is located on top of the building. A little nook to hide with your friends!
What a delight to enjoy the crab meat and seafood cream pasta! This was a dish I had never tried before and it came with an abundance of mussels, crab meat, squid and other delicious seafood morsels. Such a creamy, succulent surprise! I ordered this in and the container arrived piping hot. I will be trying other dishes from this restaurant soon!
A great place in K-town to come with a group. Portions are on the large size which is why I recommend coming with a group. Prices aren't bad considering the portion size. My favorite item is their crab & seafood pasta. So good! The braised beef ribs (galbi jjim) is also tasty and great dish to share. The sauce on the tomahawk pork chop katsu is a little to sweet for my taste. The rose Seoul night Tteok Ppoki is a yummy bowl of comfort, it has a combination of rice cakes, dumplings, fish cakes and noodles in a mildly spicy creamy gochujang sauce. I've noticed a lot of different restaurants by chef Kang come and go, I hope this place stays!
The service here is AMAZING!! Daniel helped us out and he was so friendly! Also got to meet the manager and he's also very welcoming as well. DEFINITELY WILL BE BACK. - Bacon Kimchi Pasta 5/5 Not too creamy and not too salty. Plenty of pieces of Bacon and kimchi, this dish was REALLY good. Also the portion was pretty big. - Grilled Octopus Leg 5/5 A little on the saltier side but this is DELICIOUS. This was probably the best dish out of the three. Not over or undercooked, tasted amazing... kinda like steak seasoning? Haha.. - Green Onion Fried Chicken 5/5 The sauce for the fried chicken is kind of sweet and sour, and the green onion also has dressing. Chicken is juicy. The sauce tastes really good!!! Parking is NOT free... street parking or garage parking.
This is my new gem in K-Town! I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of space of this restaurant, as they have three different seating areas. My small group had been sat inside of a dome enclosure with pretty light fixtures and with the added music, the vibe was perfect for a Thursday night out. We had ordered the Crab & Seafood Pasta, Braised Prime Ribs with Cheese, Corn Cheese, and Honey Garlic Chicken Wings (not pictured). Everything tasted divine and was served hot and fresh! The service was amazing as we were immediately shown our table. They have service bells in which their staff are eagerly willing to accommodate you however you need. I will definitely be bringing my friends here again!
I had the greatest fried pork belly in the now closed chef Kang location, when I saw he has a new place and this offered the fried pork belly - I had to go. My fellow helper made pictures and reminded me how good that pork belly was. Well the menu don't have that any longer. So I'll asked my waiter, but she was not only very uninspired about their kitchen, she was also only one worded. They have grilled pork belly and I was asking if that is crispy. She said "it's grilled" yes I know since this is how it says on the menu. Not very helpful. After a couple more questions she finally said "it's not that crispy". I know that Korean like their pork belly sometimes very "wet" and I not. So I decided against it, even when I really was craving those deliciousness. I ordered deep fried chicken with leek instead. And she was so surprised that she asked three times "deep fried chicken ?" - "you want that?" - "deep fried chicken" I was worried what would come of the waiter already seems to be surprised about me ordering it. But what came out of the kitchen was a generous portion of crispy, tasty chicken small pieces easy to eat in a slightly citrusy sauce, topped with a lot of fresh leek. Together a perfect bite. Even when I did not got what craved and the service had some barriers chef Kang still serves good food with his own twist. It's worth a try if you like Asian food and also they are open late! One start goes away for the uninspired, relatively useless waiter service. Oh and here is a tip it's on the second floor :)
Came for the vibes, but the food was better! After work, my friends and I stopped by looking for a fun atmosphere. This spot has been on our list of places we wanted to try. We arrived shortly after 5pm (like 5:20?) and we couldn't tell if the establishment was open. First, we walked through the wrong door lol the entrance is NOT under the Seoul Night sign, but actually to the right if you're facing the restaurant. We quickly corrected ourselves as there was a cleanup cart at the other door. When we walked in through the correct door, it was empty. The staff members were either in the kitchen or on the patio? I think they heard us come in because a server kindly greeted us and told us to pick any table. We opted to sit on the patio since it wasn't too chilly out yet. There were also heaters outside for when it got colder. They have a decent selection of different sojus and alcoholic choices. We're basic so we went with the fruity flavored ones in the green bottles. I think they were $14/bottle? We chose green grape and peach. Here's what food we ordered: -brisket udon: this was my favorite dish of the night. I am a huge fan of saltier foods and this flavor was spot on! The mix of veggies also added different textures. It was not too saucy/soupy either. perfect! -corn cheese: again, we're basic, but this was needed! Generous amount of cheese that strings when you pull it. I wish I took a cheese pull picture. -tomahawk pork cutlet: when the dish was first brought to us, I was a little confused on how to attack it. Fortunately, my friend is super nice and cut up the whole thing into small pieces for us. The breading retains its crunchiness and the meat was not dry. There's even a cute shredded cabbage salad next to it. -cheese, chicken, and tteokbokki: I don't remember what the actual name of the dish is, but that's what's in it. Definitely on the saucier side and a little sweet, but still a fun dish -glazed boneless chicken with almonds: the chicken is soo crispy! the coating remains crunchy even with the sauce. not dry at all and the almonds add more crunch. probably my second favorite of the night the servers were sweet and attentive. There's a call button on the table too if we needed staff.
SEOUL glad I finally got to check out @seoulnight_by_chefkang this past Halloween weekend! I'm a huge fan of pochas, and Seoul Night definitely stood out to me with their elevated approaches to traditional pocha dishes. While they definitely do have staples such as corn cheese and galbi jjim, I love how there's also an assortment of appetizers and dishes that beautifully emphasize Korean fusion, such as their seafood pasta. Every dish I tried was so comforting and well-prepared, and I definitely would be back to try more! My only gripe is that service was kind of hit and miss, and the servers seemed a bit disengaged. The seating situation isn't the most optimal either - the outside seating is perfect for large groups, while the inside seating is better for smaller (ex. 2 party groups). As the night goes on, the inside of the restaurant can definitely get very loud with the music playing + crowded tables, so I would definitely take note of that depending on the ambience you want. Overall, definitely worth checking out for a comforting and elevated Korean meal to pair with some good soju drinks!
